Graduate Network and Infrastructure Engineer

We work closely with our clients to deliver unparalleled custom IT solutions. Whilst our programmers work hard developing the appropriate software solution, you are responsible for making sure that the correct infrastructure is in place to support it. You are also responsible for ensuring all Dorset Software staff have all the appropriate tools necessary to meet, and often exceed, customer expectations.
 
You will be a proven troubleshooter, with excellent time management skills and an ability to pick up new ideas quickly. We support and implement such a wide range of technologies that we provide full training and we do not ask for or expect that you will have had any previous experience.
 
You will be trained in our core technologies such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Microsoft Dynamics, Virtual Server, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 and Active Directory. We expect that you will learn many more along your varied career to keep you at the forefront of technology, working closely with clients such as Actavis, IPSOS Mori and Wandsworth Borough Council.
 
This role offers an opportunity to build a solid career in network and infrastructure support and implementation, undertaking challenging work internally and at client sites across the UK.

About You

You will need:
  • A 1st or 2:1 undergraduate degree or a PhD in a Maths, Science, Engineering or Computing subject
  • A passion for hardware and a motivation to develop your career within this specialism
  • A willingness to travel and work at client sites across the UK
  • A confident manner with a methodical approach to work  

What we offer
